Galerie Voigt Kunst
Art diversity in the centre of Nuremberg
If you don't just want to look at art, but experience it, Galerie Voigt Kunst is the right place for you. Between pop art, graphic art, classical painting and surprising individual pieces, a broad, always curated spectrum of contemporary art is on display here - accessible, approachable and with an eye for both the beautiful and the saleable.
Galerie Voigt Kunst has been located on Unschlittplatz, in a favoured walking location in the pedestrian zone of Kaiserstrasse, since 2015 - in a light-flooded old building with four large arched windows that make you want to take a look inside from the outside. Changing exhibitions are presented on around 180 m² across two levels, connected by a striking, specially designed pointed steel staircase - a real signature piece, as Managing Partner Björn Grossmann tells us.
Back in the 1970s, Beate Voigt began working with graphic art - including works by Paul Wunderlich and Friedensreich Hundertwasser - and thus laid the foundations for the family-run art business that exists today. Since the 1980s, the gallery has also had its own framing workshop, which is just as familiar with museum standards as it is with customised design solutions.

For almost five decades, the name GalerieVoigt has stood for a gallery concept that emphasises both artistic quality and economic viability. Personal selection, open dialogue with visitors and the conviction that art does not have to be elitist characterise the gallery's everyday life. Björn Grossmann describes Unschlittplatz as ‘pure Nuremberg’ - a place that, with its historic buildings, proximity to the Pegnitz river and owner-managed neighbouring shops, creates an atmosphere in which art and the cityscape enrich each other.
