Bratwurstglöcklein

Nuremberg's specialty served on pewter

If you can smell the wonderful scent of a beechwood fire and roasting bratwurst in the Craftsmen’s Courtyard, the Bratwurstglöcklein must be just around the corner. There, this Nuremberg specialty is still traditionally prepared over a beechwood fire and served on pewter plates.

On the menu are bratwurst served in various ways and classics such as pork knuckle or Stadtwurst and vegetarian dishes and desserts. When the weather is good, you can enjoy your meal outdoors in the sun.

Always want to have some typical Nuremberg bratwurst on hand?

Here, you can order Nuremberg bratwurst by mail.

Bratwurstglöcklein has a long tradition in Nuremberg: Beginning in the 14th century, there was most likely the first Bratwurstglöcklein on the St. Moritz Chapel on Sebald Square, one of the most famous sausage kitchens in Nuremberg. It was destroyed along with the chapel during World War II. After this centuries-long history, it’s good that this Nuremberg institution was opened in the Craftsmen’s Courtyard!
