The Cultural Lounge

The Weinerei is conceived as a public living space, a wild mix of art gallery, bar and event location.
It is run as a non-profit by volunteers from the Society to Support Art and Culture in Europe e.V., an association that organizes and presents changing art exhibits, concerts and other culture happenings on a regular basis.

In einer modernen Kunstgalerie mit runder Architektur und sternförmiger Deckenleuchte betrachten Besucher kleinformatige Gemälde auf einer Empore.

There is a small selection of wines and other beverages on offer (no beer!) – everything available for a donation. Admission is always free-of-charge. In addition to the typical opening hours (Friday and Saturday from 8 pm). Every second Wednesday there is a concert and on the first Thursday of the month a vernissage.

In einer Collage sind verschiedene künstlerische Szenen dargestellt: Ein Mann mit Bart und Kopfschmuck posiert vor einem farbenfrohen Porträt, ein Künstler präsentiert seine großformatigen Gemälde, und ein DJ legt in einer schwarz-weiß gehaltenen Aufnahme Musik auf.
An einer Wand der Weinerei am Lorenzer Platz hängen mehrere gerahmte Fotografien, die überwiegend düstere oder provokante Motive mit Personen zeigen.
