Pop-up stalls

Creative variety

The Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt is one of the oldest and most famous christmas markets in the world—a place where tradition is paramount. But it is precisely here that fresh ideas have emerged in recent years: so-called pop-up stalls are bringing something new to the market. They give designers and artisans the opportunity to showcase their regional, handmade products – even without a four-week permanent presence at the market. The result: surprising shopping moments – ideal for anyone who is open-minded and appreciates fun ideas.

Why is there such a thing as pop-up booths?

Many creative people from the region would like to display and sell their handmade products, but are unable to run a stall for the entire duration of the market. Pop-up stalls solve this problem: short opening hours and changing exhibitors. For you, this means a constantly changing selection of the latest designs, creative handicrafts, and fresh ideas, with direct contact to the designers.

What Pop-up stalls are there at the Christmas market?

Booth 108: Fresh Design POP UP!”

Exclusive design objects by selected regional designers and artists

The booth of the association “Frisches Design / Creativ Forum e.V.” was one of the first pop-up booths at the Nuremberg Christmas Market and played a decisive role in shaping the concept. Every two to three days, designers and applied artists change, showcasing unique pieces and small series – from jewelry, ceramics, and wood to glass and 3D-printed objects. The designers are on site themselves, providing insights into their work processes and turning the booth into a real meeting place between the public, design, and craftsmanship.

As special guests this year, students from the TH Nuremberg | Faculty of Design, Computer Generated Object Design (CGO) module are exhibiting their creative product ideas. On the last two days of the market, a selection of all previously presented products will be available for purchase: The Best of the Best.
