Galerie Ostermayr
Art, culture, and highballs in a unique setting
In the heart of Nuremberg, Galerie Ostermayr opened its doors on March 8, 2025 – a place that uniquely combines art and interaction. The gallery exclusively showcases contemporary art and offers both regional and international artists the opportunity to exhibit their work. With rotating exhibitions, there is always something new to discover. However, the gallery is more than just an exhibition space; it creates an atmosphere where even those with little prior exposure to art feel welcome. Through a combination of visual and auditory experiences, complemented by specially crafted highball drinks, it becomes a space for inspiration and exchange.

Historic ambiance meets stylish bar
Located in a listed building in the Ostermayr Passage, the gallery has been lovingly restored with great attention to detail. Art in various forms—paintings, sculptures, and sound installations—can be experienced on multiple levels. Two large bars invite visitors to linger after a gallery tour. From 8 PM onwards, the gallery transforms into a sophisticated meeting place for art and cocktail enthusiasts. Exquisite highball creations, crafted using elaborate techniques, add a distinctive touch to Nuremberg’s nightlife.
„Mind & Medium“ – Artists in conversation
A special highlight of the gallery is the artist talk series "Mind & Medium." Here, currently exhibiting artists share insights into their works, creative processes, and the stories behind their art. It’s a great opportunity to experience art firsthand and engage with the artists.

The team behind the gallery
The concept of Galerie Ostermayr was brought to life by Roman Hoka, who aimed to create a space where art, culture, and high-quality drinks come together. Alongside gallerist Alexandra Hann, he has created a venue that enriches Nuremberg’s art scene and brings people together in a truly unique setting. Another key figure is Christian Wagner, a co-owner who operates more in the background, contributing to the gallery’s vision and development behind the scenes.
