St. Sebald

Fantastic view over the old town

St. Sebald is one of the three most important churches in Nuremberg, together with St. Lawrence and the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady). During World War II, the church suffered major damage and was rebuilt between 1945 and 1978. In and on St. Sebald you’ll find many one-of-a-kind artworks. It’s worth a visit!

Diagonally opposite is the Sebald rectory with its Sebald Chörlein and one of the last surviving medieval courtyards in Nuremberg.

Climb the 234 steps of the south tower of St. Sebald during a tour and be rewarded with a wonderful view over the city and the region!
